Chanan Glasgow is a Scottish Registered Charity Number          040518

Chanan Glasgow is a Christian charity, operating in the voluntary sector and offering free help to those who use its services. It was founded in 2009.

Our aim is to help people to progress and move on - to take steps away from the trap they find themselves in -and help them to 'Rebuild (their) Broken Lives'.

"Then Esau looked up and saw the women and children. "Who are these with you?” he asked. Jacob answered; these are the children God has graciously given your servant.”

Genesis 33:5

Chanan is a Hebrew word meaning

"God has been Gracious". Hugh chose this word because of God's gracious dealing in his own life.

About Us

Our overriding objective is unashamedly the promotion of the gospel of

Jesus Christ.

We believe passionately in the power of the gospel to not only bring salvation into the lives of the men and women that we work with, but also to set them free from their slavery to drink, drugs and other dependent behaviour.

We are a group of Christians, from different  backgrounds, who want to teach people about Jesus and present his gospel in the hope that they too might come to know Him personally.

We work with marginalised groups in society, such as addicts, the homeless and inmates at Barlinnie Prison.

We have a friendly and informal Bible study every Tuesday morning at 11am.
